LIVERPOOL have contacted Galatasaray over a potential January move for ex-Manchester United target Fernando Muslera.
Jurgen Klopp has previously stated that he is happy with Simon Mignolet, but Adam Bogdan's blunder against Watford exposed the Reds' lack of depth in the goalkeeper position, and Muslera has marked himself out as one of Europe's best.
Manchester United enquired about the goalkeeper's availability over the summer as a replacement for David De Gea, but were told they would have to pay £35million for the Uruguayan.
And since De Gea ended up staying at Manchester, the interest from England died away.
However, it is Liverpool are now interested in Muslera according to reports in Turkey.
The 29-year-old has made 186 appearances for the Turkish Super Lig champions since signing in 2011 from Italian giants Lazio.
And Muslera was PFA Player of the Season in Turkey last season, sparking interest from all over Europe.
But Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has been effusive in his praise of his goalkeeper, and in his determination to hang on to him.
