CHRISTIAN BENTEKE came off the bench to fire Liverpool past league leaders Leicester.
The Belgium striker replaced Divock Origi in the first half and slotted beyond Kasper Schmeichel after 63 minutes.
It was Benteke's fifth league goal for Liverpool and helped Jurgen Klopp to his first win in five.
Leicester, meanwhile, ended their 12-game unbeaten run and could be replaced on top of the league by Arsenal later today.
The Gunners face Southampton tonight and three points would see them sitting top until at least Monday.
Manchester City also closed the gap with a big win over Sunderland.
Liverpool welcomed back Dejan Lovren and Simon Mignolet for Adam Bogdan and the injured Martin Skrtel.
And after Benteke gave Liverpool the lead, from Roberto Firmino's delivery into the box, Leicester pilled on the pressure but the Reds held out.
Benteke then missed an open goal to double the lead in injury time before Robert Huth sent a header over the bar on the final whistle.
