THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE are waiting for Leeds United to explain why they have denied Sky TV access to Elland Road for their match against Derby County.

Football League demand Leeds United response as Massimo Cellino denies Sky access
Sky TV cameras have been denied access to Elland Road

The Whites host Championship leaders Derby in tonight's game scheduled to be televised on Sky Sports.
But Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has ordered staff at the club not to allow Sky to set up their equipment.

"The League has been made aware that Sky personnel have been unable to access Elland Road today as previously arranged," a Football League spokesman said in a statement.
"We have contacted Leeds United to remind the club of its obligations to our broadcast partner and to ask them for their observations.
"As yet, we have not received a response from anyone in authority at the club, but are hopeful that the matter can be resolved swiftly once the club does engage."

Cellino's stance is in response to the number of times his side have been shown on Sky Sports this season, resulting in a series of kick-off and date changes.
Leeds have been shown live on Sky Sports nine times already this season and had their to Sunday 27 December to cater for TV audiences.
Cellino, currently in Miami, will not attend tonight's game as Leeds look to continue their good form over the Christmas period.
Manager Steve Evans has overseen a run of five games without defeat - Leeds's best form since recording six draws in seven outings at the start of the season.
