David James says Petr Cech is well worthy of holding the record for the most clean sheets
 
The Czech Republic international broke the record for the most clean sheets in the top flight after the Gunners recorded a 2-0 victory against Bournemouth on Monday.
An impressive display at the Emirates Stadium saw the 33-year-old collect his 170th clean sheet in 352 League appearances, surpassing the record set by David James of 169.
But James admits Cech is a worthy recipient of holding the record.

“Petr Cech is exceptional,” James told talkSPORT.
“He’s quite a remarkable man and. He’s very focussed a little bit obsessive and wants to be the best at everything, which is a good quality to have.
“His record is nearly a clean sheet every two games, which is quite remarkable considering he’s been doing that now for 11 years in the Premier League.
 
“He’s quite a remarkable man and well worthy of holding the record.”
Cech also received messages from his former Chelsea team-mates Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba after breaking James' record.
