Chelsea to fight Manchester City and six Premier League clubs for midfield sensation
Cheikh N'Doye has led Angers almost to the top of Ligue 1
CHELSEA will tomorrow watch midfielder Cheikh N'Doye when his Angers SCO take on Bordeaux, with a view to a move for the Senegalese players.
Angers are flying high in Ligue 1 this season, sitting second ahead of Caen on goal difference, although they are 15 points behind leaders PSG.
And N'Doye has been one of the stars for the promoted side, back in top-flight football for the first time in 21 years.
A defensive midfielder by trade, the Senegal international already has five goals in 14 appearances this season, suggesting his true calling may lie further forward.
His abilities at both ends of the pitch make him attractive prospect for Jose Mourinho, whose Chelsea side have struggled both in defence and attack this season.
The Angers' captain has a contract with the French club which will expire in 2017, meaning if they are unable to agree an extension, they may look to cash in on the 29-year-old.

And having signed from lower-league Creteil for less than £1million in the summer, N'Doye may be available at cut-price in the summer.
However, Chelsea will have to fight off a host of Premier League suitors, as Manchester City and six other English clubs are sending scouts to France to see whether N'Doye fits the bill.
