Chelsea have fully laid the blame for their disastrous start to the Premier League season on sacked manager Jose Mourinho.
Amid the fall-out of Mourinho's dismissal last night, director Michael Emenalo pointed the finger at the Portuguese's direction.
"While there is huge sentiment for the individual, who has done so much for the club, the fact remains Chelsea football club is in trouble," Emenalo told Chelsea's own TV channel.

"The results have not been good.
“There obviously seemed to be a palpable discord between manager and players and we feel it was time to act.
"The owner is forced to make what was a very tough decision for the good of the club. We are one point above relegation and that’s not good enough.
"Any fan can understand this club is in trouble and something needed to be done.”
Mourinho leaves Chelsea sitting 16th in the table, with nine defeats from their opening 16 top-flight games.

Pep Guardiola has been earmarked as a replacement for the 52-year-old - but he could cost Chelsea double what they were willing to pay Mourinho.
Bayern Munich boss Guardiola is expected to leave the Bundesliga champions next summer.
The Spaniard is also wanted by Manchester City, who the Sun claim are ready to offer him a staggering £84million contract over four years.
Mourinho himself had signed a four-year deal at Chelsea this summer, oath roughly £12m a season.
And, at £21m a year, Guardiola would not come cheap for owner Roman Abramovich.

Even if Chelsea do set aside the cash to secure Guardiola, the former Barcelona head coach may not want the job.
The Daily Mail today claims that Chelsea's number one target is also a candidate to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
Guardiola, it is claimed, is a big fan of Wenger's philosophy.
He will announce his career plans next week and may take a sabbatical similar to the one he enjoyed between leaving Barca and taking up the role at Bayern.
It is understood Wenger is not planning to quit Arsenal just yet.
As for Chelsea,  to replace Mourinho for an interim period until the end of the season.
