JEREMIE BOGA has revealed he turned down Marseille before agreeing to join Chelsea.
The 18-year-old midfielder arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2008 after impressing at youth level for ASPTT Marseille.
Boga, who is currently out on loan at Stade Rennais, also caught the eye of Ligue 1 giants Marseille at the time.
But the France Under-19 international doesn't regret his decision to instead join the Blues, insisting neither him or his family were interested in a move to the Stade Veledrome.
“Chelsea came to see me during a tournament in Marseille," Boga explained.
"They had heard about me and they came for the final, I had a good match and ended up as player of the tournament.
“OM followed me as well, but during this time, we weren’t interested, neither my family nor me. I think that Chelsea was the best choice I could have made.”
