Chelsea lead Arsenal in race to sign talented Benfica youngster

Nelson Semedo is a target for the two biggest clubs in London

CHELSEA are keeping tabs on 22-year-old Benfica defender Nelson Semedo.

The right-back has enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Portuguese side having progressed through from their reserves.
In October, he was handed a debut for the Portugal national team and his seen as one of their best prospects.

And his performances have led to interest from several clubs.
Portuguese publication O Jogo say Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Inter Milan are among the names keen on the player.
Semedo is understood to have a contract with Benfica until 2021.
