Chelsea insider rules out move for Stoke and Crystal Palace target
Cheikh Ndoye is reportedly wanted by Stoke and Crystal Palace

STOKE and Crystal Palace will reportedly go head to head in a battle to sign Angers midfielder Cheikh Ndoye in January after Chelsea backed out of a deal.

The Blues were thought to be trailing midfielder Ndoye, 29.
But the club's scout in France, Guy Hillion, told French newspaper Le Parisien they will not be making a move.
"He's an interesting player for the Premier League but not necessarily for us," Hillion said.
"If he has to leave for England, he'll have to move quickly. He'll have to choose a club where he will play."

Senegal international Ndoye had an unsuccessful trial at Stoke back in 2007 - but it is claimed he is back on the Potters' radar.
According to the report, manager Mark Hughes could make a bid for the player in January as Stoke seek to push further up the league table.
The 6ft 3in midfielder joined Angers from Ligue 2 side Creteil on a free transfer this summer.

He is also said to be on Crystal Palace's radar, with boss Alan Pardew seeking attacking recruits.
Palace are thought to be preparing a £15million bid for another France-based player, Belgium international Michy Batshuayi.
Pardew has enjoyed much success scoring the French leagues in previous years, bringing a number of Ligue 1 players to the Premier League during his time at Newcastle.

As for Ndoye, Angers are not planning to sell their prized asset in January, although the player himself hinted he would be keen if an opportunity to move became available.
"Every player dreams of going to a big club but I'm not paying attention to what's being said and I'm concentrating on the pitch," Ndoye said.
