NAPOLI are considering extending Gonzalo Higuain’s contract after his excellent start to the season.
The Argentine striker scored twice on Monday night against Inter Milan to take his side to the top of Serie A.
His strikes took his tally for the season to 14 and he has once again been linked with Europe's top clubs.
The 27-year-old is understood to be on Chelsea's wish list if they decide to sell Diego Costa while Arsenal are also said to be monitoring his situation.
The report says Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is unwilling to start talks over a renewal until spring 2016.
But adds that both parties are keen to continue together with Higuain having a special relationship with the club and its supporters.
