Arsenal secretary told not to bother coming home after Barcelona draw (by his own family!)
Arsenal were handed a difficult tie in the Champions League
ARSENAL secretary David Miles has revealed his family told him not to come home if they were drawn against Barcelona.

Miles was the only Gunners representative for the draw in Nyon earlier today and witnessed his club get drawn with the Catalan giants for the third time in five years today.
Last season’s champions swept into the knockout stages comfortably and lead La Liga by a point ahead of Real Madrid.

And Miles admitted drawing Barcelona was not what Arsenal fans and his own family would have wanted.
He said: "We are delighted to be here for the 16th successive season. On the back of the great win in Athens, we were hoping for a good draw.

"I think it’s probably the tie of the round and it’s not going to be easy. I think most Arsenal fans would have wanted to avoid them but it's up to us to put on a performance.
"My family said 'if you draw Barcelona, don’t bother coming home'."

Despite the draw, Miles insists Arsenal have the players to trouble Luis Enrique’s side.
"We've got world class players and it will be two fantastic games that we are looking forward to.
"We're sitting top of the Premier League, come February-March we'll have some players back and it would be great to take them on with our full-strength side."
