Arsenal News: £18m striker bid, shock Real Madrid deal, midfielder lined up for January
Granit Xhaka is on Arsenal's winter radar

NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest news from the Emirates.

The Gunners are just two points off the top of the table despite their mid-season injury crisis.
Arsene Wenger has lost Santi Cazorla, Francis Coqeulin and Mikel Arteta in recent weeks while Jack Wilshere remains out.
The Frenchman is expected to dip into the transfer market next month to bolster that midfield.

And one man he could move for is Granit Xhaka, the Swiss Borussia Monchengladbach man.
The 23-year-old is also been scouted by Bayern Munich though.
But the Daily Mail report that Arsenal are monitoring his situation with the thought of a January move in mind.
Wolfsburg have made an £18million bid for striker Breel Embolo.
The Basel striker is on Arsenal's radar with concerns over Danny Welbeck's return growing.
Yesterday it emerged Welbeck would be out for even longer than expected.
The former Manchester United striker may not play until February after injuring himself just before the season kicked off.
However the Gunners have already lost ground to the German side on a move for Embolo, according to reports.

Jack Wilshere has revealed his shock at the announcement of Mesut Ozil's signing in 2013.
Ozil joined the Gunners for £42.5million from Real Madrid.
And Wilshere admits the squad were buzzing with the news.
"I think we knew what sort of player Mesut was, his history as a player and the clubs he has played for. To bring him in to play with us was massive," he said.

"I remember watching transfer deadline day and seeing that Arsenal were interested in Mesut Ozil, and you almost didn't believe it.
"When he arrived the players were buzzing and the fans were buzzing and I think that gave us all a massive lift.
"I watched him for a few years, he was another player who started off young and went to a big club like Real Madrid.
"I remember watching him a few times and thinking that this player really understands football.
"You can tell he really understands football and to play alongside him is something special."
