TYSON FURY says he will never win a popularity contest and has ruled himself out of the biggest sports award of the year.

His odds of winning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year have been slashed after he defeated Wladimir Klitschko to become the new world heavyweight king.
He is now a 4-1 shot to win the award but the 27-year-old said: "They won't let me win it. I am too controversial and outspoken for that to happen.
"I can tell you now that will never happen. I will never win Sports Personality of the Year so there is no point in me thinking about it."

Jessica Ennis-Hill is the favourite above Andy Murray, but Fury believes he has done more than his rivals and said: "Has anyone else beaten a super champion this year?
"Lewis Hamilton has won the Formula One championship and Andy Murray has won the Davis Cup, but Tyson Fury took out the man who couldn't be beaten.
"Hamilton can win a race but it doesn't mean anything. Murray can win a tennis match and lose a tennis match and still have his popularity.
"But who, out of all these people, beat Wladimir Klitschko, who they said could not be beaten? The answer is Tyson 'Too Fast' Fury.

Tyson Fury's odds to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year have been slashed to 4/1
"No one helped me in that ring. It was just me against him. If I get an award then I get one; if I don't, well, I wasn't expecting one anyway."
Fury's trainer and uncle Peter has no doubts at all about who should win the award, saying: "He's answered every question by beating Klitschko.
"The only downside is that people are either ignorant of boxing or refuse to acknowledge just what he has achieved.
"He's a colourful character and great for boxing, great for sport. What we have got today is a lot of stiff robots who can't talk to the camera.
"He does deserve the award. He's gone to Germany and not just won a world title, but look who he has beaten for it."

Fury also revealed he refused to drink any bottled water in his Dusseldorf dressing room after Saturday's win in case it had been spiked.
The pre-fight build-up had been marred by problems over the gloves offered to Fury and the fact his team were unhappy that too much foam padding was under the ring canvas.
Both of those worries were cleared up but then Fury feared the possibility of drugged water would see him fail the post-fight drugs test.
"I got told not to touch anything unless it was water from my baggage and was sealed in the container," he said. "I was so scared of failing the drugs test that I didn't take drink or food from anybody and was dehydrated when I got back to my hotel.
"They tried all kinds of tricks but I never let any of them affect me and I did the business in front of 50,000 people."
