Wayne Rooney has been lined up for a shock move to China, according to reports.

The Manchester United captain has over three years left on his £300,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford.

But according to The Sun, the cash-rich Chinese Super League have approached the 30-year-old about finishing his career in the Far East.
 
Rooney's former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is currently managing in China.

And the Chinese government are making serious efforts to raise the profile of the sport with big signings.

Several top stars have already been lured to the burgeoning Asian league, such as Robinho, Tim Cahill, Demba Ba and Mohamed Sissoko.
 
Arsenal have reportedly compiled a six-man shortlist to replace crocked midfielder Francis Coquelin.

Coquelin has been ruled out until the New Year after suffering knee ligament damage during the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to West Brom on Saturday.

And Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he will look for a replacement in January.

The Daily Mail report Lars Bender, William Carvalho, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Lucas Biglia, Vincent Koziello and Nampalys Mendy are on his radar.
 
Chelsea are prepared to pay £42.1million to land Borussia Dortmund ace Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

The Daily Star report Blues boss Jose Mourinho is on the lookout for more firepower in January and is ready to spend big on Aubameyang.
