Tottenham move ahead of Man Utd and Liverpool to sign Brazil star
Pato has been on loan at fellow Brazilian squad Sao Paulo
TOTTENHAM are the frontrunners to sign Brazil striker Alexandre Pato, according to reports.

The former AC Milan star is expected to leave Corinthians in the January transfer window, sparking a host of Premier League interest.
The Brazilian club's chairman Roberto de Andrade openly admitted to agreeing a deal with Liverpool for the striker.
"There is an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer in the coming weeks,” he said.

However, he later told SporTV that no 'concrete' offer had been received, leading to continued interest from Manchester United, West Ham and now Tottenham.
The north London side are in desperate need of strikers with just Harry Kane and the inexperienced 22-year-old Clinton Njie on their books.
And according to Calcionews24, Spurs have now moved ahead of their league rivals to lead the chase for the 26-year-old's signature.

The report claims negotiations have already begun between the two clubs with a fee of around £8m being discussed.
Tottenham's primary target is still said to be Saido Berahino, who they hope they can lure away from West Brom due to his poor relations with chairman Jeremy Peace.
However, should a deal fail to materialise then they will move for Pato as part of a prearranged contingency plan.
