THIS quick and easy trick will help you get more from your movie streaming.
It's no secret that Netflix subscribers have the ability to set-up multiple profiles on their account.
These profiles are designed for different family members and friends – and should stop your significant other's dodgy movie picks from affecting your recommendations.
But these profiles can be used to dramatically improve Netflix's personalised recommendations.
A maximum of five profiles can be set-up per Netflix account, but that's more than enough to help you customise the content you fancy watching.
Here's how it works – create a new profile on your account for a specific genre of film or TV show.
For example, set-up a new profile called "Action Movies".
Then only use this specified profile whenever you want to watch a bullet-spraying, explosion-filled action blockbuster.
With such a niche taste, it doesn't take long for Netflix to hone in and start recommending other Arnold Schwarzenegger-style classics.
You can then set-up Netflix profiles aimed at TV programmes, comedy films, dramas, cartoons and more.
Setting up these profiles makes it quick to find content you feel like watching, rather than trawling through endless lists of programmes.
It also stops you confusing Netflix with the blend of film genres and shows normally associated with one person's account.
To add a profile simply log into Netflix, then tap the tap + icon at the top of the homescreen.
Netflix recently announced a price rise for some of its services.
In a statement, the company justified the rise saying: “To continue adding more TV shows and movies including many Netflix original titles, we are modestly raising the price for some new members in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
“As a thank you to existing Netflix members — who aren’t already benefiting from a previous price guarantee — we will maintain their current price for a year.”
