Revealed: Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United was '99 per cent' done
Patrice Evra said a deal to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Man United was '99 per cent' done in 2013
SIR ALEX FERGUSON told Patrice Evra he was '99 per cent' sure Cristiano Ronaldo was returning to Manchester United just two weeks after announcing his retirement in 2013.

Evra revealed that he was told by the Scotsman about the imminent return of the record breaking goalscorer but his proposed move, which was all but secured, fell through after Ferguson stepped down from his managerial post following the death of his wife's sister.
“I remember we talked maybe two weeks before and he said ‘Patrice, I will be here for another five years,'" said Evra to the Sunday Times.

"I said ‘yes boss, let’s do it.'
“I was so convinced. He was looking younger and younger. He even told me 99 per cent Cristiano Ronaldo will come. I was like ‘wow, we are ready to bounce back and to even win the Champions League again.’”
Evra left 12 months after Ferguson departed Old Trafford and signed for Serie A giants Juventus for £1.2million in 2014, and has gone onto make 26 appearances and score one goal.
