Will Diego Costa leave Stamford Bridge? |
CHELSEA have a four man shortlist of strikers to sign, if they decide to sell Diego Costa.
The Spain striker arrived at Stamford Bridge last season and was key as they won the Premier League and Capital One Cup.
But his campaign was disrupted by injury and disciplinary issues which have also blighted him this season.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Chelsea seriously considered selling Costa in the summer before opting to keep the 27-year-old.
It’s claimed his popularity in the dressing room earned him a reprieve.
However, the report says that Chelsea are now prepared to sell Costa and bring in two strikers to replace him.
And the four attackers on their list are Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Lokomotiv Moscow’s Baye Oumar Niasse.
Sunday Express exclusively revealed today that Chelsea are willing to pay £40million for Griezmann, who was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
