WATFORD skipper Troy Deeney will be watched by his old friends from prison as he completes a remarkable rags to riches story against Manchester United.
The striker, 27, served three months in jail in Birmingham and Warrington for affray in 2012.
But he has maintained his belief that he would put the hard times behind him to become a man and player that millions look up to.
"I've got people coming down from before," he said. "I told them it would all come true. I do my best work when people doubt me the most.
"There are six coming. They are people that helped me get through and helped me get motivated when I didn't really want to.
"I knew what I was going to do. And I just know that it [going back to prison] is not gonna happen again. No matter what, people can push my buttons, people can push me to limits, it's not going to happen again.
"Most people talk, so why get angry about it? Just enjoy."
