Poorest Brits 'more likely to suffer KILLER cancer' than the rich
New research has claimed the poorest Brits are more likely to suffer from deadly cancer
DO YOU live in one of the poorer areas of the UK? You're more likely to suffer from a tough-to-treat cancer than those in affluent areas.

An incredible new study has released positively shocking statistics claiming Brits who are richer are more likely to be diagnosed with more survivable forms of cancer such as skin or breast.
It's said 8 out of 10 long-term survivors of cancer - those living more than 10 years after diagnosis - come from the richer parts of the UK.

On the other side of the coin, poorer Brits are more susceptible to 'killer cancers' such as liver or lung.
The National Cancer Research Institute published the shocking research after an in-depth study into the distribution of cancer around the UK.

But it doesn't stop there. The NCRI have also published their findings about the link between female cancer and alcohol.
They claim more than a quarter of female breast cancer cases in the UK each year could be prevented.
Lifestyle factors such as being overweight and drinking alcohol are said to increase a woman's chance of getting breast cancer.
Every year in the UK, more than 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and though survival has doubled in the last 40 years around 11,600 females die from the disease.

The NCRI have also published their findings about the link between female cancer and alcohol
Study co author Dr Ellen Copson, associate professor of medical oncology, said: “There are ways women can potentially reduce their breast cancer risk including drinking less alcohol and keeping a healthy weight.
"But most of the women we questioned didn’t know this."
“It’s also worrying that so few of the women we questioned knew how much alcohol
was in various drinks."
She added: "The more alcohol you drink, the more your risk of breast cancer increases but making a decision about whether or how to cut back is more difficult if women aren’t sure about the alcohol content of different drinks.”
