OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X on sale invite-free for Black Friday 2015

OnePlus will not discount its smartphones for Black Friday, but is removing the need for an invite

ONEPLUS will sell the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X invite-free for its four-day Black Friday sale, which will also see a killer 90 per cent discount on some of the firm's accessories.

 

OnePlus has unveiled the details of its upcoming Black Friday sale.

The Chinese start-up will sell both the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X invite-free during its four-day Black Friday sale event.

Until now, customers who wanted to buy the OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X had to have an exclusive invite code.

These codes are available through competitions, a waiting list on the OnePlus website, or from people who have previously purchased a OnePlus device.

But both new 'flagship killer' smartphones will be available to everyone from Friday 27th – Monday 30th November.

"Hope you’re sitting down, because you’re going to want to be on your A-game for this," the smartphone firm announced on its blog.

"Black Friday: Unlimited starts November 27 and lasts for four epic days with the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X available invite-free every day."

Although OnePlus is not discounting its smartphones for Black Friday, it is offering a huge 90 per cent discount on its accessories.

All OnePlus One accessories are 90 per cent off and OnePlus 2 accessories are 10 per cent off. 

OnePlus 2 • Starting from £239

The latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus packs an impressive 5.5inch HD display, snappy Qualcomm 810 processor and solid battery life.

Coupled with a lightning fast fingerprint scanner and the ability to use two Nano SIM cards, the smartphone has all the specs of a much more expensive smartphone.

There is also a 13-megapixel rear camera which can take a decent snap and shoot 4K video. 

The OnePlus 2 also bundles image stabilisation, fast laser focus and the ability to film slow-motion video and time lapse montages.

It's worth noting the OnePlus 2 does not support expandable storage over microSD, so the 64GB version might be your only choice if you plan to shoot plenty of Ultra HD 4K video.

OnePlus X • Starting from £199

The first entry to an entirely new range for OnePlus, the X has a glass and metal finish which feel very similar to Apple's previous designs.

It boasts a five-inch 1080p AMOLED display as well as a 13 megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and an eight megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls.

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM, which keep the custom OxygenOS Android skin running smoothly.

There's only 16GB of internal storage available, but OnePlus has included a MicroSD card slot which allows users to expand the storage up to 128GB.
