'No ultimatum' claims Monk but Swansea boss on the brink ahead of Bournemouth clash
Monk knows his days on the Swansea touchline are numbered if results don't improve
GARRY MONK insists he has not received an ultimatum from Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins, but knows what the consequences will be if he cannot turnaround the club's fortunes.

The Swans made a strong start to the season, but their form has tailed off alarming and they have just one win from their last nine games in all competition.
It has left Monk, 36, fighting for his job just a matter of weeks after being touted as a potential successor to England boss Roy Hodgson.
Monk and his players face a crunch clash with struggling Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday and, although quick to dismiss suggestions it is a must-win game, the Swansea manager admits he knows what will lie ahead if results do not improve.

"The chairman has been great, he is very supportive," said Monk.
"He doesn't have to tell me that we need to pick up results and get back to winning ways. I know that and what is at stake.
"I know I am under pressure. I have considered the situation in my own head and no-one puts more pressure on me than myself, and no-one has been more frustrated than me with this period and run of results.

"The responsibility lies with me and I am determined to put it right and get back to winning ways.
"I am not going to cry about it or go into a shell, I am going to come out fighting and show my character and spirit and what I believe in and make sure the players do the same and put it right on the pitch."

Monk also rejected suggestions his assistant Pep Clotet is set to leave south Wales to take over at Brentford.
"That is a non-starter," he said. "I have spoken to Pep and he is as committed as I am to the job we have here."
