JESSE LINGARD is in line to make his full England debut after Roy Hodgson called him up to replace Manchester United teammate Michael Carrick.
Carrick limped off as England were beaten 2-0 by European champions Spain on Friday night, while Jamie Vardy, who sat out of the game in Alicante, has also been ruled out of Tuesday's fixture against France at Wembley.
Lingard has already been capped by England at under-21 and under-17, but Hodgson has rewarded him for his excellent Manchester United form with his first call-up to the senior squad.
The game will be played in the shadow of Friday's attacks in Paris, with the England manager calling it a 'serious' occasion, with home fans starting a campaign to learn and sing the French national anthem as a show of solidarity.
