DIEGO SIMEONE will leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season and is free to take over at Chelsea, according to reports.
His contract at the Vicente Calderon runs until 2020 but the Sunday People claim it has break clauses, which he is keen to activate.
While his stadium ban meant he wasn't in the stands to oversee his side, he previously claimed he was still in charge and was solely responsible for running the team.
If Simeone does come in, he could be taking over from Brendan Rodgers as the Blues are considering him as a possible candidate in the interim.

Roberto Di Matteo and Guus Hiddink are also on a shortlist of potential temporary appointments.
Carlo Ancelotti remains of interest but would only consider taking the role permanently.
