GARY NEVILLE believes Arsene Wenger must add to his midfield options if Arsenal are to win the title.
The Gunners came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Tottenham yesterday, as Kieran Gibbs rescued Wenger's side a point.
Arsenal had their chances with Olivier Giroud coming close on two occasions, but it was the away side that dictated the play in midfield.
Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was awarded the man of the match, putting in a impressive display alongside Eric Dier.
Arsenal's defensive midfield duo of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin struggled to compete in the first half with Wenger admitting the Spaniard was "half conscious" at half-time.
The Gunners sit joint top of the table with Manchester City, but Neville fears Arsenal's title hopes could slip away if Cazorla or Coquelin get injured, because they don't have the cover for them.
"It's the one big black mark that I've got over Arsene Wenger these last 10 years - why hasn't he identified the issue with central midfield because they cannot win the league with these types of players. It can't happen," Neville said on co-commentary for Sky Sports.
"They've dominated midfield, Tottenham, Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli and Eric Dier have dominated Coquelin and Cazorla. They're all over them like a rash. The energy in the game is fantastic from Tottenham off the ball."
Cazorla was replaced by Mathieu Flamini at half-time after complaining of feeling dizzy, with Neville noticing the strain placed on the 30-year-old throughout the opening 45 minutes.
"This must be his most difficult game this season that I've seen," Neville added.
"He needs help, there's no doubt about that. They've been harassed, that midfield two. It would be tough for two top central midfielders who can defend well. The space is big.
"They're getting so much space and Arsenal's central midfield cannot cope.
"They've played as a six and a four. You can't play in big games like this. The chance they're taking is incredible. They're just not getting back. I can't believe what I'm watching."
