Liverpool injury crisis deepens as star is ruled out of squad for England clash
Mamadou Sakho injured his knee at Anfield yesterday
FRANCE have confirmed Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been ruled out of friendlies against Germany and England this week.

Sakho came off with a sprained knee in the Reds' 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield yesterday.
The centre-half tried to continue but was eventually replaced by Dejan Lovren.
And he will not join up with his France team-mates, the national federation (FFF) has revealed.
"Mamadou Sakho, who suffered a sprained right knee during Liverpool's game against Crystal Palace, has been forced to withdraw for France's upcoming international friendly games," a statement read.
"His condition does not allow him to travel to Clairefontaine as originally planned on Monday morning.
"The medical staffs of Liverpool and Team France have been in contact since Sunday night and the player will undergo an MRI today in England."

France coach Didier Deschamps has called up St Etienne defender Loic Perrin as Sakho's replacement.
Les Bleus, who will host Euro 2016 next summer, take on Germany on Friday at the Stade de France before travelling to Wembley to face England on November 17.

As for Liverpool, Sakho's injury comes at a bad time for manager Jurgen Klopp.
Midfielder James Milner hobbled off the field during the Reds' Europa League win in Kazan last Thursday and will miss England's friendlies against Spain and France.
And Jordan Henderson is still not back to full fitness following foot surgery.
