JAMIE VARDY'S former strike-partner Gareth Seddon believes he is the Premier League's answer to Rocky Balboa.

 

The Leicester striker could make history if he scores against Manchester United today (5.30pm).

It would be his 11th consecutive Premier League goal, taking him past former United star Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record.

 

And his former Fleetwood team-mate Seddon says his rise from non-League obscurity to topflight goal-machine is like a Hollywood movie.

"Vards is a great guy, his story is straight out of Roy of the Rovers. He's working class and he's become a working class hero," he told the Daily Star.

Vardy has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes this season, netting an impressive 13 times.
