JACK GREALISH has been told to grow up after being axed from Aston Villa's squad.
New Villa manager Remi Garde read the riot act to the 20-year-old and left him out for tomorrow's crucial clash with Watford.
The wayward star has been training with the under-21s all week as punishment after being spotted partying in a Manchester bar just hours after Villa's humiliating 4-0 drubbing at Everton.
He is understood to have carried on in Birmingham the following day.
But Garde has now left Grealish in no doubt that he is in danger of messing his career up.
Pressed on whether he should look more closely at the people he is hanging around with, Garde chose his words carefully.
He said: "I don't want to run away from this question. When you are 20, I think you are quite an adult.
"You have to know that and you have to behave in the way you want to go and know where you want to go.
"He will not be included in the squad for the Watford game. This is not professional and it's unexpected from my players.
"He's not playing at the weekend and at this stage, I think that's enough. Jack has a lot of ability but he needs to improve his game and work at it.
"That's not because he is 20 - it is because when you are a footballer of any age you have to work hard and be ready for the weekend."
