GARY CAHILL insists Chelsea must use their Champions League victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv as a springboard to revive their season.
 
The England international opened the scoring for the Blues in Israel as Jose Mourinho's side moved a step closer to the knockout stages of the competition with a
Chelsea, who are the defending Premier League champions, have had a poor start to the season, securing just 14 points from 13 league games. 
 
And Cahill hopes that they can use their European form to help them kick on and get their domestic campaign back on track. 
"It's important we keep this momentum going," Cahill told Chelsea's official website

"It was important for a number of reasons. First and foremost and the most important one was for the Champions League and to make sure we put ourselves in a position to try to qualify top.
"But as well to build the momentum off the back of the Norwich result and keep building these wins and try to gather these wins to turn this around. It was important for a lot of reasons and very pleasing." 
Chelsea travel to White Hart Lane to take on London rivals Tottenham on Sunday, and with victory in their final group game against Porto (December 9) will secure their place in the last 16.
