PAUL MERSON believes Arsene Wenger would have to answer serious questions if Arsenal lose to Tottenham.
The Gunners will be desperate to bounce back from their chastening 5-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.
Spurs, who beat Anderlecht 2-1 in their Europa League group game last night, are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening day when they lost 1-0 to Manchester United.
Both sides harbour Champions League ambitions, but Merson thinks Arsenal have to bounce back strongly on Sunday (4pm).
"This is a big game for Tottenham and a big game for Arsenal after the embarrassment against Bayern," Merson told Sky Sports.
"When you consider the manner in which they lost in Munich, if Arsenal were to lose you could say Arsene Wenger would come under pressure again.
"Saying that, I do expect Arsenal to win, I'd be shocked if they didn't."
