Stones - Much is expected of the young defender and up against Defoe and Fletcher, he struggled to contain them at the start. But he grew into the match making some important tackles - 6

McCarthy - Has had a difficult season but alongside Barry today, the Irishman helped dominate the midfield - 6
Barry (c) - Returned after his red card last weekend and was typically tidy in possession. Made his 573th top-flight appearance - 6
Kone - Back in the team and justified Roberto Martinez's selection with his first hat-trick for Everton. Took advantage of some slack defending by Sunderland - 9
Barkley - No goals or assists today but the England midfielder was a constant threat. His use of the ball was particularly impressive - 7
Deulofeu - When he isn't falling to the ground easily, the Spaniard is a great player to watch. Social media was unhappy with his antics but he did end the match with a goal and two assists - 7
Lukaku - Approaching towards the excellent form of two seasons ago. On days like today he is unplayable - 8
