Divock Origi says he has a point to prove at Liverpool |
DIVOCK ORIGI has insisted he still has a 'lot of things' to show the Liverpool supporters.
The Belgium international, who joined the club last year, spent the 2014/15 campaign on loan at his former club Lille.
Since Jurgen Klopp's arrival on Merseyside, the striker has been given his chance, featuring in five games in all competitions.
And the 20-year-old insists he can win over the Anfield fans and hold Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino out of the current squad.
"I still have a lot of things that I can show to the fans here," he said.
"One of my attributes is that I can carry the ball and take on defenders in one-on-ones with my pace.
"Setting up the goal for Adam Lallana [against FC Sion] was a nice moment and I feel that I am improving my game every time I get on the pitch.
"I am a player who is quite generous and yes, I try to help the team where I can."
Liverpool currently sit tenth in the Premier League table after 12 games, seven points off the the top four.
