Confirmed: Steven Gerrard reveals he's returning to Liverpool training next week

STEVEN GERRARD has confirmed he will return to Liverpool - to train.

 

The Kop hero left Anfield in the summer, moving to Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.

But Gerrard has been back on Merseyside during the off-season and has been invited to Melwood to train under Jurgen Klopp.

Reports had linked Gerrard with a loan move - similar to David Beckham's to AC Milan while he played at Galaxy - but that has been ruled out.

 

When asked about an update on the situation, BT Sport pundit Gerrard said: "Yeah, next week.

"I'm going to go in for a couple of weeks and work with Mr Klopp, so I'm really looking forward to that.

"To see what he's about and try and learn a few things off him."

But when pushed on whether that could turn into a loan move, he said: "No."

Gerrard is set to play in Liverpool's red again however, after it was announced he will feature for the legends side in Sydney in January.
