DEAN SAUNDERS’ Chesterfield ended FC United of Manchester’s FA Cup dream to earn a home draw against the highest-ranked club in the competition, League One leaders Walsall.

The Spireites led with early goals from Gboly Ariyibi and Lee Novak, and second-half strikes from Rai Simons and Ollie Banks before Luke Ashworth’s consolation.
Manager Saunders said: “I’m pleased we won because obviously the game was on TV as they thought there might be an upset.

“There were some upsets at the weekend but we have got through.” Reality TV stars Salford City will be hoping for a repeat of their first-round heroics after they were drawn to host Hartlepool.
Salford, owned by Manchester United’s “Class of 92” stars, set up the tie by beating Hartlepool’s League Two rivals Notts County 2-0 on Friday.
The lowest-ranked side are eighth-tier Northwich Victoria, who go to Northampton if they beat Boreham Wood in a replay.
Stourbridge, of the seventh tier, have been drawn at home to Eastleigh while Chesham, who compete at the same level as Stourbridge, have been rewarded for shocking Bristol Rovers 1-0 with a trip to either Aldershot or Bradford.
