Asmir Begovic insists under fire Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has the backing of his players following the Blues' 1-0 defeat to Stoke.
Mourinho was serving a one-match stadium ban given to him by the FA for his comments made in their 2-1 Premier League defeat to West Ham prior to their third consecutive league loss last night at the Britannia Stadium.
But despite suffering seven Premier League defeats and claiming just 11 points from 12 games, Begovic claimed he and his team-mates remain behind their manager.
"We're behind the manager," the goalkeeper told Sky Sports. "I think you can see from our performance we're fighting for one another, fighting for everyone involved.
"We think he's the right man and he's someone we respect and we work hard for. It's unfortunate we're not giving him the results our performances deserve.
Diego Costa is unlikely to face further action following a touchline incident which led to a Stoke steward alleging he had been assaulted.
The complaint was made after the 27-year-old striker made contact with the steward's foot when retrieving the ball for a throw-in.
However, the matter, which a Chelsea spokesman described as 'utter nonsense', has now been resolved.
Branislav Ivanovic has become a summer transfer target for Roberto Mancini's Inter Milan.
The full back wants to stay at Chelsea but the Blues are unlikely to open contract talks until February, which would allow him to leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer, claim the Daily Mirror.
Ivanovic has struggled to find his form for Chelsea this season and it is believed the Italian giants are interested in striking a deal for the 31-year-old Serbian international.
