Barcelona line up sensational swoop for Arsenal forward in January

Theo Walcott is reported to be a target for Barcelona

BARCELONA are lining up a January bid for Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, according to reports.

 

The Daily Mirror claim the La Liga giants have earmarked the Arsenal forward as a replacement for injured winger Rafinha.
It is claimed they want to add some pace to their front line and Walcott fits the bill.
How much the England striker will cost is not yet known, but Walcott has become a crucial part of Arsene Wenger's side and impressed when filling in up front this season.

Playing as the lone striker appears to have caught the attention of Barca, who are reported to be desperate for attacking reinforcements in January.
The current Champions League holders might lose Neymar in the coming transfer window or at the end of the campaign, with Manchester United thought to be keen admirers.
And 26-year-old Walcott could come in as a straight replacement.

 

The two clubs have history and a deal might not be out of the question.

Thierry Henry moved in the same direction, while Cesc Fabregas did the same in recent years.

The Gunners also signed Alexis Sanchez at the start of the last campaign.
