ARSENE WENGER says his thoughts after Arsenal's 5-1 thumping at Bayern Munich remain the same two days on.
Wenger insisted his side were subject to defensive frailties during the Champions League defeat.
Bayern recorded 23 shots during Wednesday's game, while the Gunners managed just seven during the match.
And Wenger expressed his regret that his side could not repeat their 2-0 scalp over Bayern from their home clash last month.
“When you play against Bayern they are Bayern. I watched the game again and not a lot has changed since my analysis after the game.
“I believe we created a high number of chances but we had not our usual defensive performance. Especially on the first two goals.
“They are maybe the best team in Europe but if we’d had our usual defensive performance we could have repeated our performance from the first two games.”
Arsenal play Tottenham in the north London derby this weekend and are missing two key defenders.
Hector Bellerin has been ruled out of the clash with injury, while Laurent Koscielny is a doubt as he continues his recovery from a hip complaint.
