Arsenal News: Gunners leading Bender race, Sanchez debate rages on, Ibrahimovic message
Lars Bender is on Arsenal's radar
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest news and gossip coming out of the Emirates.

Arsenal are currently the frontrunners to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender, according to reports.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has claimed he will ‘do what is needed’ to make midfield reinforcements following Francis Coquelin’s injury.
Coquelin will be out for three months, and according to the London Evening Standard, Bender is the most likely player to arrive at the Emirates in January.
Odds have fallen from 12/1 to 6/1 for Bender to make the switch.

Arsenal are also thought to be monitoring Sevilla’s Grzegorz Krychowiak and Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.
Thierry Henry reckons Arsene Wenger shouldn’t have picked Alexis Sanchez for their game against Norwich.
Wenger admitted he was aware that Sanchez, who came off in the 1-1 draw with a hamstring problem after the hour mark, had a niggle.
And Gunners legend Henry has had his say on the matter.

Alexis Sanchez could face a period of time on the sidelines
“If he played today and he scored he would have said, 'I was right to play him', but he got an injury so we are obviously going to say he should have rested him,” Henry told Sky Sports.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been urged to move to the Premier League before his career finishes.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been touted as possible destinations, and fellow countryman Jonas Olsson thinks Ibrahimovic should ‘bite the bullet’ and come to England.
“He's still at the top of his game. He is the strongest player I have faced. I really hope he comes,” Olsson said.
"Zlatan on his day is the most talented footballer in the game. He has played under Mourinho before and the only place where he's not 100 percent appreciated is in the UK.”
