Are you a SNORER? The gadget which is changing lives
The NORA product is the answer to your partner snoring
A NIFTY device that promises to end the misery of snoring once and for all is about to hit the shelves - and Brits are already among its biggest fans.

The clever gadget works by listening out for the offending noise then giving snorers an automated "nudge" every time they start, mimicking the actions of a disgruntled partner.
The wireless invention sits underneath a pillow - and its makers say it can stop someone from snoring without waking them or their sleeping bedfellow.
A bedside monitor measures the levels of noise and when snoring gets too loud it activates a mini pump that inflates a small mat underneath the pillow.
Snoring occurs when neck muscles relax during sleep, narrowing airways. The slight movement caused by Nora stimulates the neck muscles which then opens up the user's airways.
It connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone so users can then download and analyse data about their snoring habits.

The inspiration for Nora came when Ali, a serial inventor, noticed how he and his wife deal with each other's snoring - by slowly moving the snoring person's pillow

How the Nora product works

The device, called Nora, is the brainchild of inventors in Toronto and California who set about designing a way to counter their partners' constant snoring.
They say that the gadget, a world's first, could now spell the end of sleepless nights caused by snoring for millions of people around the world.
It has been launched on crowdfunding website Kickstarter in the hope of raising the money needed to put it into production.
Its makers had hoped to raise $100,000, around £65,000, but they have already had almost $500,000, or £330,000, pledged - and most of the pre-orders outside of the US have come from Britain.
Nora can be pre-ordered for $199 - or £130.
Behrouz Hariri, co-founder of Nora, said: ""The inspiration for Nora came when Ali, a serial inventor, noticed how he and his wife deal with each other's snoring - by slowly moving the snoring person's pillow.

NORA have heard great feedback from their testers
"He built the first version to mimic this movement and was impressed by how effectively it reduced the snoring.
"The project quickly gained momentum and now is well under way to raise over $500,000 on Kickstarter.
"The best part of the experience so far has been hearing the positive experience of our testers, knowing we have provided a solution that gives them their silent nights back, often after years of sleeping along a snoring partner.
