| Louis van Gaal was 'disappointed' with some of his players |
LOUIS VAN GAAL concedes that there were players that ‘disappointed’ him following Manchester United’s surprise cup exit.
The Red Devils crashed out of the fourth round of the Capital One Cup at the hands of Middlesbrough last night.
United spurned several decent opportunities before Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Ashley Young fluffed their lines in the penalty shoot-out.
And Van Gaal was rather frank when discussing his team’s performance.
“Of course, there were some players that have played a very good game,” Van Gaal told MUTV.

“I have to admit that I'm very proud of that because it's not an easy game against Middlesbrough.
“So I'm pleased with some of the performances of my players but I am also disappointed with some of my players. That's the life of the manager.”
