Steve McClaren inists he will not stop clapping Newcastle fans despite poor run of form
Newcastle boss Steve McClaren insists he will not stop clapping the fans despite poor run of form
STEVE McClaren will not give up on clapping the fans at the end of matches.

The Newcastle manager has vowed to carry on his habit of walking onto the pitch and along with his players, applauding the Toon Army on the final whistle of every game.
McClaren risked another bad reception when he saluted the travelling support following the 3-0 defeat at Sunderland last week but instead, the 2,800 away fans returned his applause.
He will be out there again at 4.50pm this evening hoping the St James's Park crowd are cheering a home win.

"It is something which was a ritual when I was in Holland," said the former FC Twente coach.
"Whether the performance was good, bad or indifferent, the president insisted on it because there will always be some fans who appreciate the effort you put in.
Newcastle have accepted a charge of failing to control their players following Fabricio Coloccini's dismissal at Sunderland last week.
Though Coloccini's red card has since been rescinded, the FA are set to fine the club after three of their players surrounded referee Robert Madley.
