Nolito is one of Europe's most in demand players |
CELTA VIGO star Nolito says he will not be joining Arsenal or Barcelona in the January transfer window.
He's scored six goals this season including a stunner against Barca in September to help his team climb to second in the table, level on points with Barcelona and Real Madrid.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger did not sign an outfield player in the summer but could be looking to do business in the new year if an opportunity becomes available. While Barcelona had been linked with the player as a replacement for Pedro, who joined Chelsea in the summer, with their transfer embargo set to end in January. And vice-president Susana Monje hinted at making transfer deals in the coming transfer window."We can sign and shall make an effort to do so, but we have to be prudent," she told Mundo Deportivo."The club has made profits, it is solid and that means we can cover the players' salaries."FC Barcelona is financially in very good health. This is the best moment ever in the history of the club."There is still potential to generate even more income but things are on the right track. We shall continue to reduce the debt and capitalise the club."But despite the intense interest, 29-year-old insists he will be staying at Celta, at least till the end of the season."God will decide my future," he told Radio Marca."I'm not leaving in January. I'm happy in Vigo.
