Rio Ferdinand: Why Aston Villa must hire Dwight Yorke over David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers
Rio Ferdinand says Dwight Yorke is the man for the Aston Villa job
RIO FERDINAND has backed Dwight Yorke for the vacant managerial position at Aston Villa.

Yorke has made no secret of his desire to take charge at Villa Park after Tim Sherwood was , despite having no experience in management.
Villa currently sit rockbottom in the Premier League standings, with the weekend's 2-1 defeat to Swansea the final nail in the coffin for Sherwood.
Former striker Yorke, who scored 97 goals in over 250 outings for the West Midlands club, will go head to head with ex- and boss David Moyes and former chief Brendan Rodgers.
But Ferdinand believes Yorke is the perfect man for the job as he has the potential to have the same impact that Slaven Bilic did at .
Bilic, who used to play at Upton Park, has guided the Hammers to third in the Premier League standings after taking charge in the summer.
Ferdinand tweeted: "A bit late I know, but Aston Villa start the merry go round for managers...will they let a new man on the ride (Dwight Yorke)?!
"Could have the Slaven Bilic/West Ham effect...played there and liked by the fans...Yorkie are you camped outside Villa Park yet?"
Yorke is confident he can turn Villa's fortunes around, with his former club registering just one top flight win this season.

"There are young people ready to break into management and I don't see any reason why I shouldn't put my name in the hat," he told talkSPORT.
"People will say I don't have any experience but we've seen people with experience go in there and struggle to do a job.
"I know that club inside out and I've looked at the squad, there's enough in there to get them out of this position and there's enough time as well.
"It's whether the owners are prepared to give an aspiring young manager an opportunity. You look at the managers available now, it's a merry-go-round."
