RIO FERDINAND insists it is is fine for Chris Smalling to celebrate the way he did.

Smalling celebrated his goal in exuberant fashion as United beat Wolfsburg 2-1 last night at Old Trafford.
The goal was rather scruffy as it went in on off Smalling's shin.
But Red Devils legend Ferdinand cheekily admitted he had some crazy celebrations during his playing days.

"He'll be celebrating like it was an overhead kick," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
"My celebrations were world renowned."
