Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Robert Lewandowski and Andre Ayew have been linked with Liverpool |
JURGEN KLOPP is drawing up a shortlist of stars to bolster his Liverpool squad.
The German tactician will take training at Melwood today, his first opportunity to run the rule over Liverpool stars not away on international duty.
News News Blog Sport understands Klopp will give all of the players from Rodgers' reign the chance to prove themselves.
Rodgers spent £32.5m on Christian Benteke, £29m on Roberto Firmino and a tribunal fee of around £5m on Danny Ings this summer, joining Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in a packed Reds strikeforce.
While Klopp will want to give his new forwards the chance to impress, he is reportedly keeping tabs on a number of hitmen.
Lewandowski and Klopp are close from their time together at Borussia Dortmund, where the 27-year-old turned into one of the most feared strikers in Europe.
"The biggest satisfaction you can get is when you take a player from Poland, from a small club and watch him play like he does today," Klopp said of Lewandowski.
"The difference between that player we signed and the player he is today is unbelievable."
Andre Ayew has settled quickly at Swansea |
The 26-year-old is apparently interested in a £35m move to Anfield.
"An offer of joining Liverpool now Jurgen is there would be an attractive proposition," a source told The Sun.
Klopp brought Aubameyang to Borussia Dortmund for £10m in 2013 |
The 25-year-old has scored four Premier League goals since his free transfer to the Swans from Marseille this summer.
Ayew is likely to be worth around £20m now.
Italy hotshot Domenico Berardi is another on Klopp's radar.
In midfield, Klopp has been linked with two up-and-coming stars.
Porto ace Ruben Neves, 18, is admired but has a release clause of £29m.
And Jorginho, a 23-year-old playmaker at Napoli is another under consideration, valued at around £20m.
