More misery for Abou Diaby as former Arsenal star suffers another injury setback

Abou Diaby's career has been heavily disrupted by injury

CHRONICALLY injured midfielder Abou Diaby has suffered a setback in his attempts to return to competitive football.

 

The 29-year-old's career was massively disrupted by several injuries during his time at Arsenal.

And he left north London in the summer at the end of his contract after just one appearance last season.

Ligue 1 side Marseille signed the midfielder and he was reportedly on the verge of making his first competitive start in 17 months.

 

But his manager Michel revealed today that Diaby would not be fit enough to play against Lorient this weekend.

The Spanish coach said: "Diaby is good physically but he does not feel good each time he trains with the squad.

"There is no date for his return. The important thing is his health."
