Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for Spurs last weekend |
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has laughed at fresh speculation linking Harry Kane to Manchester United.
The Spurs striker, who scored a hat trick against Bournemouth last weekend, was once again linked with a move to Old Trafford in this morning's papers.
Louis van Gaal was said to be keen on the England international during the summer and United were reportedly ready to spend £50million on the player.
But when asked about the rumours during his press conference today, Pochettino smiled and then dismissed the suggestion Kane could leave.
He said: "I smile because the rumours are always there
"The rumours are the rumours. Even now it is too early start speaking about rumours but you know in football it is normal."
Last season, Kane scored 31 goals in a breakthrough year for Spurs. He is also tied down to a long-term contract at White Hart Lane meaning it will take a huge offer to tempt Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell.
