WAYNE ROONEY was absent from England training for the second day running as doubts intensify over whether he will be fit to face Estonia on Friday.
Rooney missed out along with Danny Ings and Jonjo Shelvey at St George's Park today.
Sir Bobby Charlton will present Rooney will a Golden Boot before the game after the Manchester United striker replaced him as the country's leading goalscorer when scoring his 50th goal last month.
But whether Rooney, who did bike work in the gym, will be fit to face Estonia remains to be seen with the Football Association speaking to Manchester United over his injury and England coach Roy Hodgson unlikely to take any risks.
Vice-captain Gary Cahill is in line to stand in if Rooney misses out, and Everton's England U17 midfielder Tom Davies joined in the session.
