Manchester United fans are facing travel chaos over the festive period
MANCHESTER UNITED and Manchester City fans are furious after the Christmas fixture list left them facing travel chaos.
United's trip to Bournemouth has been moved to 5.30pm on Saturday December 12 and supporters have no chance of catching the train home. The last direct service to Manchester Piccadilly leaves Bournemouth at 6.47pm, mid-way through the second half of the game.Elsewhere, their trip to Stoke on Boxing Day has also been moved to 12.45pm and there are no trains running whatsoever on that day.City have a similar situation on their hands, with their away game at Arsenal now set to take place on Monday December 21 at 8pm.Just one train leaves London Euston at 11pm and, with an allocation of 3,000 fans, it will be crowded for those who make it.The £64 ticket price for the game has added to fans' frustration.

Kevin Parker, general secretary of City’s Official Supporters Club, said: “It really does beggar belief.“It’s just proof that the Premier League really don’t care about the fans.“I can never see a situation where a formal boycott happens because there will be always be some people who want to go, whenever it is and whatever the cost. But I certainly can’t see us taking our full allocation.Duncan Drasdo, from the Manchester United Supporters Trust, added: “Unfortunately fixture rearrangements are an inevitable consequence of the TV deal but the tail should not be allowed to wag the dog."
