LUKE SHAW has returned to Manchester United's training ground following his horrific double leg break.

Shaw was injured during United's Champions League tie with PSV after a tackle from Hector Moreno.
Shaw stayed in Holland to be operated on before flying home to Manchester.
He has been ruled out for around six months and is a major doubt for the European Championships next summer.

But the 20-year-old former Southampton defender today tweeted: "First day back at the training ground today, nice to be back."
United's loss of Shaw has given Louis van Gaal a major problem in defence.
He's tried Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian at left-back without much success.

Young, against Arsenal on Sunday, was the only player to play back-to-back games in the role.
Last month, though, Van Gaal admitted Shaw would find it difficult to return before the end of the season.
You have to cope with all the things that happen in a rehab," he said. "It’s six months but mostly there’s always more and then he has to be fit so it shall be very difficult.
“He knows that he has a long way to go but the most important thing is he is mentally very strong.
“But that’s now and it’s fantastic to see. But also in his rehabilitation period he has to show that consistently and it’s not easy."
